Guidelines for clients

  1. You will need to tell me in advance if you are pregnant or if you have recently undergone a major medical procedure, for example surgery or radiotherapy.

  2. If applicable, bring details of current medical diagnosis and any medication you may be taking.

  3. It is best not to eat heavy meals or drink alcohol on the day of treatment. Have a light meal at least one hour before your session.

  4. Shiatsu is received lying on a comfortable mat on the floor, and loose (preferable cotton) clothing is the best thing to wear.

  5. You do not need to be ill to benefit from receiving Shiatsu. Even if you are healthy, you will enjoy the relaxation and vitalisation that a Shiatsu session offers.
